West Runton boasts the Village Inn which is an excellent pub serving delicious Sunday Roasts and evening meals.

There is also a tea rooms, a Thai restaurant, a well equipped  shop and the fabulous Rocky Bottoms

The village is famous for the West Runton Woolly Mammoth, a huge 6-700,000 year old fossilised elephant discovered in the 1990s.​ Maybe you might find the next woolly mammoth with an afternoon of fossil hunting!

Blue Flag Sandy Beaches

We are so lucky to have stunning beaches 10 minutes walk from the cottage.

​

 West Runton beach Cafe and the little blue coffee truck are open for all your coffee need​s and homemade doughnuts. 

​​

There is a hotel within walking distance with leisure facilities including swimming pool, gym and golf courses. Day passes are available.

West Runton is also home to the Hilltop Shire horse Centre. 

​

Local walks from the doorstop, including; forest walks, the North Norfolk coastal path, Sheringham Country Park and Felbrigg Hall.

Cromer

On the bus route directly from the cottage is Cromer, or walk along the coastal path.

Cromer has an elegant pier, Pavillion Theatre, traditional arcades, crazy golf, many independent cafes and shops, numerous excellent restaurants and of course a stunning sandy beach and the famous Cromer Crab.​

Sheringham​

Also on the bus route and coastal path.

Sheringham is home to the steam North Norfolk railway.

It also boasts a bustling high street with independent shops and cafes​.

The largest privately owned military museum, The Muckleburgh Military collection is also worth a visit.
